On March 24, Ontario sent out 471 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residency. The invites were given under the Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). Candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores between 350 and 600 who submitted their profiles between March 24, 2021, and March 24, 2022, received Notifications of Interests (NOIs). Candidates must live in Ontario and have a valid work permit to be considered for this stream. They must also have a minimum of one year of full-time work experience in National Occupation Classification 633, or major groups 72, 73, or 82, in the two years before their Notification of Interest. They must also have a profile in the Express Entry pool in Canada. Those who have been invited to apply for a provincial nomination have 45 calendar days from the day they get their NOI to do so. If an Express Entry candidate receives a nomination from Ontario, their CRS score will be increased by 600 points. They'll also be eligible for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from a PNP-specific Express Entry draw. Canada's major economic immigration route is through the Express Entry system.
