Across all lines of business, Immigration Canada's processing inventory now stands at over 2 million people.
The backlog of temporary and permanent residence applications has grown. Meanwhile, the number of people waiting for citizenship fell to around 400,000 in April, down from over 453,000 in March.
Since last summer, the backlog has proceeded as follows:
- 2,031,589 people are expected to attend on April 11-12, 2022.
- On the 15th and 17th of March, 2022, 1,844,424 people will be present.
- 1 815 628 people on February 1, 2022
- 1 813 144 people on December 15, 2021
- 1792,404 people on October 27, 2021
- 1 447,474 people on July 6, 2021
On April 28, CIC News requested additional inventory data. On the same day, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) released figures for April 11. CIC News has made a follow-up request for the most up-to-date information. The data is being reported by CIC News in the same format as it was received from IRCC.
